WWII Airborne Demonstration Team
A beautiful tribute and a noble cause
The WWII Airborne Demonstration Team is an organization that states its mission as being: "Remember, Honor, Serve" our WWII Veterans and those who have followed in their footsteps. Their vision is to keep the stories of our WWII Veterans alive to inspire a new generation. I recently came upon this organization when one of its members reached out to me, and I was quickly impressed not only by the high quality of their tribute, but their dedication to their mission. Like Project Vigil, their goal is to remember those who served and those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for America's freedom.
When I come across a fellow historian, or another person who's passionate about keeping history alive, I am always very excited. It shows me that there are people out there who care and fight for the same thing I do: to keep the memory alive of those who died for our nation's freedom. It is truly humbling for me to come across a group of dedicated and passionate people like those of the WWII Airborne Demonstration Team, who take such pride in their tribute. By writing this post, I wanted to take a few minutes to thank them for their work, and to share with you an organization that I find truly amazing. Unfortunately, not all of us can go and jump out of an airplane like they do, but I would highly recommend that you take a quick look at the quality tribute they pay to our soldiers, past and present. To anyone from the WWII Airborne Demonstration Team that might be reading this, thank you very much!
